It was a downpour that afternoon. She was drenched to the core. It was useless to stop anywhere so she decided to continue walking home. The afternoon sky had turned dark. There was eeriness in the atmosphere. The visibility was nil yet she kept on walking. She knew the way even with her eyes closed.
There was sound of footsteps behind her, she stopped and turned but no one was there. She must be mistaken she thought and started her walk ahead. Footsteps once again … Is someone up to some mischief. She turned around and this time she heard voices. There was someone nearby.
“It is her.” someone said.
“How can you be so sure?” said the other voice.
“My mother says every time it rains heavily she is seen. It was during such a downpour that she started for home and never reached. They never found her body.
