Words &Rain

It is raining in Delhi NCR and perfect time to write. Alas my life as a recruiter disrupts by being as a writer. Yet, some time to steal from all the essentials for all the things worth living for.

“And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.” – Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society

Whoever wrote the dialogue was a genius but no one could have delivered it better than the man himself, Robin Williams. It is on days like this that I feel may be nature has a way of saying ….Breathe!

How can you explain the perfect amount of chill in the breeze with raindrops floating in the air, touching your face as if to wash away the gloom and any one sitting by the window feels like reaching out and holding on to the moment. Not another human or animal but just our moment with nature. Poets, writers, artists are not born, they are made… made by just moments like these when the soul reaches out to your heart and yearns to live in the moment.

I don’t know if I am able to express the feeling but this is a feeling of being one with self. I have been cribbing about destiny’s games but those become mere excuses rubbished off, the moment the world around you says … Go Ahead, Write yourself out.

And then no matter how much I try to hold myself back explaining the necessary requirements for daily sustenance, the words just come out like raindrops from an overcast sky.

I am a writer after all and I don’t want to be anything more, anything less.

Thank God for Words & Rain!
